The FAP Program provides financial assistance for families with dependent children who receive assistance and:
who are cared for by a parent or caretaker relative-included who meets one of the permanent exemption criteria in FAM 808.05 , Exemptions from Participation in NHEP , or
are cared for by a relative other than a parent who is not receiving assistance (caretaker relative not included).
This program has no work component. All members of a FAP case are exempt from NHEP work program requirements.
