SR 97-09 Dated 03/97

Previous Policy

A striker is anyone who participates in a strike, a concerted work stoppage (including a stoppage due to the expiration of a collective bargaining agreement), and any concerted slowdown or other interruption of operations by employees.

Striker status ends only when the individual returns to the job, retires, quits, is locked out, or is fired, regardless of the length of the strike.

Individuals are still considered to be strikers, even if they would have become exempt from NHEP participation requirements for any other reason, until they return to their job, retire, quit, are locked out, or are fired.
