211.09 Who May Be Members (FSM)

Certify boarders, including foster care children, when both of the following apply:

• the household requests that the boarders be included, and

• the boarders pay the household a reasonable monthly cash payment for lodging and meals.

A reasonable monthly cash payment is determined as follows:

• boarders receiving more than 2 meals each day must pay an amount equal to or exceeding the maximum monthly coupon allotment for the size of the boarder household, or

• boarders receiving 1 or 2 meals each day must pay an amount equal to or exceeding 2/3 of the maximum monthly coupon allotment for the size of the boarder household.
