Residents of a shelter for battered women and children may use their food stamps to buy meals prepared for them at the shelter if the shelter is approved by FNS.
If the shelter is not approved by FNS to redeem food stamps as a food wholesaler, the household may request that all of its allotment be issued in $1 denominations. If the household requests $1 denominations, complete Form 444, Request for Manual Issuance of ATI, to implement the request.
