The Bureau of Behavioral Health (BBH) seeks to promote respect, recovery, and full community inclusion for adults, including older adults, who experience a mental illness and children with an emotional disturbance.
Developmental Disabilities and Acquired Brain Disorders
The Bureau of Developmental Services (BDS) offers its consumers with developmental disabilities, acquired brain disorders and children with special health care needs, a wide range of supports and services within their own communities.
Drug & Alcohol ServicesThe Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services works to reduce alcohol and other drug misuse and its social, health, and behavioral consequences for the citizens of New Hampshire through public policy and resource development, education, and supporting initiatives that ensure the delivery of effective and coordinated prevention and treatment services.
The Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services (BEAS) and supports are intended to assist people to live as independently as possible in safety and with dignity. Services range from home care, meals on wheels, care management, transportation assistance and assisted living to nursing home care.
The Bureau of Homeless & Housing Services (BHHS) supports NH communities, individuals and families that are homeless or are faced the threat of becoming homeless.
New Hampshire Hospital (NHH) provides comprehensive compassionate inpatient psychiatric services to the people of NH. NHH is a state operated, publicly funded hospital providing a range of specialized psychiatric services. NHH advocates for and provides services that support an individual's recovery.
