New Hampshire Hospital’s Nursing Department employs Registered Nurses (RN), Advance Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Mental Health Workers (MHW), who provide care for patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
More than seventy percent (70%) of our nurses are Certified in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, or another specialty, through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). ANCC is the largest and most prestigious nurse certification organization in the world, recognizing individuals whose nursing skills and knowledge meet predetermined standards of excellence.
Nursing professionals know that ANCC certification is widely accepted evidence of the quality of their nursing skills. Not only does it validate the strength of their nursing abilities and boost their self-assurance, but certification also contributes to better patient care.
Nursing Department Vision: To achieve national prominence as a center of excellence for professional nursing practice.
Nursing Department Mission: To provide psychiatric nursing care that meets the patient’s immediate needs using a process that reflects excellence in each nurse-patient interaction within a therapeutic milieu.
