The Work Experience Program (WEP) can help both non-profit and private sector businesses in various ways. New Hampshire Employment Program (NHEP) participants can work in this program for up to 16 weeks at your organization; the participants can do a variety of occupational functions. These functions can be either indoor or outdoor projects that benefit your agency and/or the community – all at no fee to you. You receive extra help at your business or organization, while the NHEP participant gives back to the community, hones his or her work skills, and receives current references (from you) to help them in their job search.
Non-profit organizations can benefit from our Service Bureau program, which allows agencies to place free work orders that can be completed at our sites. Mailings, Collating, Sorting, Labeling, Filing, Data Entry and Computer Services are just some of the services offered.
WEP is a work program that is specifically designed to help those receiving temporary cash assistance acquire the general skills, training, knowledge, and work habits necessary to obtain employment. The purpose of WEP is to improve the employability of those who cannot otherwise find unsubsidized employment. Your work with our NHEP participants contributes to the NHEP participant’s success in shifting from cash assistance to financial independence. Read more
