Tracking services augment the work of Juvenile Probation and Parole Officers (JPPO). It helps keep track of a youth's daily community and school behavior, and curfew compliance. The ratio is one youth tracker to 8 youth.
Home based counseling and crisis intervention services are provided to a family in their home and are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
The JOLT Supervision Program
JOLT is a nighttime supervision program. JPPO and local police team together to conduct curfew checks of participating youth and oversee general orders of the court for each youth. The team visits youth at their residence in the police cruiser on random evenings between the hours of 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The JPPO and the police meet with youth and their families to discuss strengths and needs and to provide support to the families to help them navigate the Juvenile Justice system. JOLT staff will also take into custody any juvenile escapee from a secure facility and may take into custody a youth on probation, parole or administrative furlough who is out past curfew.
