Community Public Health Development
The CPHDS currently supports 14 regional Public Health Networks (PHNs), which are local collaboratives of local governments, individuals, and organizations that work together to protect and promote the health and safety of the members of their region. They accomplish this by enhancing the delivery of the 10 Essential Public Health Services. Together these organizations and individuals make up the local public health system. As emergency preparedness capacity is achieved, the PHNs will also provide an umbrella for convening and coordinating other local public health-focused coalitions and networks. Learn more about the PHNs by visiting www.nhphn.org.
The Public Health Emergency Preparedness Education and Training unit collaborates with a broad array of public health and safety partners to deliver training and education programs. For more information about available training programs visit www.nh.train.org.
