Sections within the Bureau of Community Health Services' (BCHS) fund community agencies to provide health services to individuals and families. In this way, the Bureau helps improve the health of New Hampshire's residents. We focus on access to care for vulnerable, underserved and rural populations. We work to make our service systems comprehensive, culturally appropriate, effective, and family-centered.
The Bureau also carries out other activities to improve access to quality health services. Projects such as needs assessment, policy and program development, program monitoring and evaluation, and performance improvement help reduce barriers to care. The Bureau takes a leadership role in partnering with public and private organizations to provide public education on health risks, and training and technical assistance for professionals and community agencies.
