Prenatal Program

The Prenatal Program provides funding to 12 community health agencies to provide prenatal care to low income, uninsured and underinsured pregnant women.

Prenatal services include:Baby Hand

  • Prenatal and postpartum visits
  • Voluntary HIV testing
  • Health education
  • Nutrition services
  • Social services
  • Smoking cessation counseling, and
  • Home visiting

Prenatal agencies provide a variety of supportive services to families, which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Transportation
  • Translation services
  • Outreach
  • Health education
  • Case management services, and
  • Pre-certification for Medicaid eligibility.
