Surveillance & Community Resources
Tobacco prevention activities include grants, training and technical assistance to local prevention organizations, surveillance and evaluation efforts, and oversight of advertising and media campaigns targeted towards priority populations to encourage cessation attempts and education about harmful poisons in tobacco products. The program also supports 800-QUIT-NOW (800-784-8669), the NH Tobacco Helpline.

Community Resources

Local Community Coalitions and Public Health Departments around the State of NH work within their communities on a number of prevention initiatives, including tobacco. They organize awareness events, hold materials and resources on quitting smoking, collaborate and guide local youth groups, and focus on the health of their community.
