Starting Salary Range: $35,776 - $42,016

SCOPE OF WORK: Participates in the activities of accounts payable and financial reporting. Develops, monitors and reviews accounts payable services to insure compliance with state and facility fiscal policies.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with major study in accounting or business administration. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience:  Two years' experience in accounting or auditing work, including some experience in a supervisory capacity. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Special Requirements: For appointment consideration, Accountant II requires that applicants successfully participate in a written examination measuring possession of knowledge, skills and abilities identified as necessary for satisfactory job performance by this class specification.

Employees will be required to pay an agency/union fee.
