NURSE PRACTITIONER
NEW HAMPSHIRE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES
New Hampshire Hospital / Concord
Salary Range: $65,170.56 - $77,525.76

SCOPE OF WORK: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Administrative Director of Medical and Psychiatric Services and the clinical direction of the Medical Director/Chief Medical Officer, works collaboratively with the health care team to ensure that both practice and professional standards are identified and maintained in the delivery of patient care and that mutually determined patient outcomes are achieved. Independently prescribes pharmacologic and psychopharmologic drugs authorized by RSA 326-B: 10a. Promotes excellence in patient care while supporting and facilitating professional growth and development, upholding standards of professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Master's degree or its equivalent from a recognized college, institute or university with major study in nursing, and graduation from a nurse practitioner program that meets qualifications established by the Board of Nursing Examiners for the specialty in Medical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing.

Experience: Five years' professional nursing experience in the field of Medical Nursing, or Psychiatric Nursing.  Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

License/Certification:  Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing Education.  Current DEA certification.

Employees will be required to pay an agency/union fee.
