Katie Dunn has been with the NH Department of Health and Human Services for 20 years. She has served as the bureau chief of communicable diseases and as a maternal and child health nurse consultant. During her tenure she has been promoted and has served as the Director of Public Health and Medicaid for the State of New Hampshire from 1999 – 2003, the Deputy Medicaid Director from 2003 – 2008 , in 2008 was appointed to the position of State Medicaid Director and in 2012 was promoted to Associate Commissioner.
As Medicaid Director Katie has overseen various utilization management, payment reform, purchasing, quality and reporting strategies. In addition to being a registered nurse, Katie received her Master’s degree in Public Health from Boston University with a concentration in Health Services Administration and is a Robert Wood Johnson Medicaid Leadership Institute Fellow.
