How Do I Get My Prenatal Care?

If you are pregnant and you have NH Medicaid coverage, you may already have a provider.

The best thing you can do is to pick the Health Plan your provider is with if you want to stay with that provider.

If you do not pick the Health Plan your doctor is with, it is important to know when a Health Plan will cover a visit to that provider:

Pregnant for less than 12 weeks?  The Health Plan will cover the care from the provider until they can move you to a provider in the Health Plan network. Tell your health plan if your provider is not in their network.

Pregnant for more than 12 weeks?  The Health Plan will cover the care from the provider through the birth, even if the provider is not in the Health Plan you picked. Tell your health plan if your provider is not in their network.
